Creating the perfect look isn't easy. A woman not only has the tough, tough job of selecting the right outfit, but she also has to keep in mind the right pair of shoes, bag, accessories and not to forget the most important thing - Makeup!
Yet guys still wonder why we need time to get dressed. *sighs*
Anyway, Makeup is perhaps the most important aspect in the entire dressing-up routine. Not only do you have to  keep in mind what you're wearing but also the place and occasion you're supposed to go to. A lot of people say that the 'Less is More' mantra should be kept in mind while applying Makeup. And true to that statement I think Makeup is not just art but science as well.

We have palettes full of colours waiting to be filled in a blank canvas, but if we don't know the right amount, technique and style, we might end up spoiling the entire portrait.

Hence, as you can see; my love for Makeup goes way back.
Infact, I have an eternal craze for Lipsticks and have hundreds of them. There is hardly a month that goes by when I don't buy one. But something that caught my fancy quite recently is my love for - Blush Ons. In the last few months, I have purchased as many as Five blush-ons
(including -
The Body Shop Lip/Cheek Stain 03,
Lakme Absolute Face Stylist Blush Duos,
MAC Mineralize Blush - Just a Wisp,
and
Faces Canada - Gold Dust)
with Makeup Revolution London VIVID Blush Lacquer marking the sixth.

And this is the one I bought.

Shade - Heart.

It's Light, Peachy and really Subtle.

The bottle's small, airtight, lightweight, easy to carry and comes with a pump nozzle which you'll have to press just once to get a good amount in each go.
Since it's tiny and spillage-free you can give yourself a touch-up anywhere you want. Just take a little dot on one hand and with your ring finger of the other, take the lacquer and gently dab, smudge and blend on your cheeks evenly.
Or if you're more comfortable with brushes, use the Stippling Brush for a finer, patch less look.

This time I upped the colours on my eyes and lips a bit and added the much talked about Silicon based cream Blush Lacquer and within a couple of seconds, I could feel my skin endowed with a natural peachy-glow.

My face looked even brighter, with a soft balmy look highlighting my jaws effortlessly and of course beautifully.

One of the best things of the blush on is it's innate ability to stay for hours.
Even in a humid area like Calcutta, it is perfectly visible for over six hours without any touch-ups at all.
You can apply it on top of your base coat or before applying the primer, but it will stay for at-least three to four hours considering it's high pigmentation and thickness.

The Vivid Blush Lacquer is widely available and is one of the best blush-ons I've ever used.
It is pocket friendly,
wonderfully intensive,
gives a great coverage
and
has tonnes of shades for you to choose from.
For Indian girls with sun-kissed complexion, I'd say Heat, Bloom and Heart goes really well.

I got this from Amazon at 500 INR (discounted price).

You can also buy it from Jabong, Snapdeal, Nykaa and other online or retail stores.
Now go ahead and try it!
Looking fantastic has never been this easy.
XO.

"As I grew older, I realised that it was much better to insist on the genuine forms of nature for simplicity is the greatest adornment of art." - Albrecht Durer.

Much like the German painter, I too believe that the simplest things create the greatest wonder and they are the ones which are closest to our hearts.

Many a times I have written about grand and beautiful dresses that'll make one look and feel like a sheer queen.

This post, however, is not one of them.

Today I am not just going to review the brands that I'm wearing, I'll also talk about some extremely personal outfits of mine, taking you through things that I love and feel the most comfortable in. This article is all about the simplicity that we crave, every once in a while, when we want to step out of the house being just ourselves and nothing else.

Today, let us put aside glamour and grandeur and embrace the unabashed beauty of innocence.

Here's the first glimpse:

Wikipedia describes Palazzo Pants (or simply the Palazzo) as,

"long women's trousers cut with a loose, extremely wide leg that flares out from the waist."

Although every purchase is special, not everytime you can go out in OTT outfits.
Sometimes all we need is a bit of something that's loaded with simplicity and promises oodles of comfort. Say when you're in a lot of hurry or maybe in the mood to wear something that doesn't take much time to assemble.
In my case, I grab whatever is within my reach in the cupboard and off I go.
The beauty of the Palazzo lies in it's gorgeous and enticing tropical print that drew me towards it and eventually made me head towards the bill counter.
The soothing floral print has always been an easy favorite and this Palazzo gives out a  promising fun-n-flirtatious vibe that's far from being OTT and is a great wear for lunch dates,
official meetings
and breezy family gatherings too.
You can team it up with a floral scarf or retro ala Zeenat Aman glares or simply wear a boho necklace like I did in Look 1.
Because when you're Playing with Comfort, Ease and Simplicity, you know your game is far better than the others.

When the internet broke down making fun of Rihanna's Guo Pei bright yellow "omelettey style" gown at the Met Gala 2015. True blue fashion-worshippers sat down and took notice of Jennifer Lopez (in Versace Atelier) and Kim Kardashian's (in Roberto Cavalli) barely backless dresses that made their already noteworthy booty look even more delicious!

As Anne Hathaway says, "It's business in the front, party in the back!"

And true to her statement, some of Hollywood's biggest stars like Naomi Campbell to Julianne Hough and even Sarah Jessica Parker, have time and again, effortlessly ditched the cleavage-revealing low-cut look for a skin show from behind.

So this is how the gown looks from the front.

I know, right? Isn't the gown a complete stunner?

I have been diligently planning a shoot purely and exclusively wearing this dress for weeks now but due to the excruciating and mind numbing conspiracy of the Rain Gods. The shoot went on getting delayed till my friend and I decided to go for it no matter what on our terrace.

So step away Madame Cleavage, it is the year of the Backless!

LOOK 1A.)

In  Look 1B, I just took the neckpiece away and replaced it with a Big Brown Belt. The silver stones  around the metal clutch adds a bit of shine as the belt efficiently teeths right on my slender waist just below the bustline and gives the dress a separate skirt and blouse look. For girls who wanna show off their washboard waistline. This look is for you. <3

Oh yeah, that's how I rocked my shorts!

In this look again I wore a watch. A silver one this time coupled with a black floral handcuff on the other arm.
